The Air Jordan II (2) Retro Shoes were relased back in 1987. It was the year that Nike made many innovations with their Jordan Brand shoes while Michael continued his success in the NBA. Air Jordan went over the top when he scored more than 3,000 points in a season. He was continually making 37.1 points per game and set a new world record with 61 points versus the Atlanta Hawks. Michael played for the All-Star Game and was picked for the All-NBA First Team. Bruce Kilgore introduced a new sleeker design for the Air Jordan II (2). The low-tops were a great hit, and the Italian design gave Basketball shoes a new look. It may surprise many, but this is the only Air Jordan Sneakers that never came out in Black color.
