The exclusive AirMax 2003 boasts of a material used by automobile interiors manufactured by a Japanese company called Tejin. Tejin has a high tech carbon-based fiber that is not only waterproof but breathable as well. This material gives another breakthrough innovation for Nike. Runners would now need not to choose between two important features because the Nike Air Max 2003 has both. As with other Air Max models, the full length air sole returns but this time with an added TPU mid sole unit to support pounding heels. A ventilated support strap on the inside is also incorporated to have that fluid fit, feel and appearance of a molded retro track spike. A sleek and clean look also made the Nike AirMax 2003 popular to Nike fans.
