Nike Trainers for Women - Retro Womens Air Max 97 Shoes

In 1997, the Nike AirMax 97 was released. It was rumored to be called the Air Max 3 but later turned out to be false. For the design, the Japanese Bullet Train was its inspiration. It is the first running shoe that features the full length Air Max cushioning as against the cushioning on the heel and forefoot only of the AirMax 95. One long Air Max cushioning unit was placed underneath the entire foot. Another striking difference from previous Air Max is the reflective 3M material where it is more prominently placed and visible. They help in lighting the shoe when you are in dark areas. This made the AirMax 97s more popular especially in Europe before making its waves in the U.S. After a few years, Nike tried to reinvent the AM97 by releasing a slip on version but it was frowned upon by many Nike enthusiasts and so it was scrapped.
